The weather hereis not the weatheryou'll be riding in.
ClearRide reads the forecast along your actual route — 20 to 60 points, each one at the minute you'll reach it — then gives you a single Ride Score, the reasons behind it, and a better time to leave.

A forecast is a dot.
A ride is a line.
Weather apps answer for where your feet are. Four hours and 336 kilometres later, that answer has nothing to do with what is hitting your visor.
Every other weather app
Asks where you are. Answers for a single dot on a map, at a single moment.
12°C
Dry in London. Go on then.
It is not wrong. It is just answering a question you did not ask.

- RAINHeavy for 34 minutes around Stoke — not at either end of the ride.
- WINDGusts to 33 mph crossing the Peak, where you are most exposed.
- COLD6°C on arrival. It was 12°C when you set off.
One number you can act on — and the receipts behind it.
Not a percentage of rain. Not a wind rose. A score out of 100 that starts clean and loses points for the things that actually hurt on two wheels, with every deduction written out in plain English.

Thresholds are tuned for riders, not drivers. Gusts matter more than average wind. Feels-like matters more than air temperature. Fifteen minutes of rain at the wrong end of a ride is worse than an hour at the start.
Most bad rides are just good rides at the wrong hour.
Scan today, tomorrow, or the whole weekend. Every departure hour gets scored on your route, so the decision stops being a coin toss and starts being a grid.

Saturday, 12:00. Four hours earlier you are riding in 4°C. Four hours later you are riding home in the dark, in rain.
Twenty-eight minutes longer. Thirty-four minutes drier.
Ask for an avoid-rain or avoid-wind alternative and ClearRide scores each option honestly — including the time it costs you. You pick. It hands the winner to your nav app.

Everything else a rider actually checks
Built around the small decisions that happen with a helmet already in your hand.
Commute alerts
Save the ride you do every day. ClearRide checks it before you leave and only pushes when the answer changes — rain moving in, gusts building, ice overnight.
Home-screen widget
Today’s score for your saved route, on the lock screen. The glance you take with a helmet already in your hand.
Gear check
Conditions turned into a kit list. Thermal base layer. Anti-fog insert. Earplugs, because flapping gear in gusts wears you down over four hours.
Ice, glare and darkness
The risks that only matter on two wheels. Sub-zero on shaded bends. Low sun on a westbound run home. How much of the ride happens after sunset.
Round trips
Out and back scored separately. Plenty of rides are fine going and grim coming home — that is the half most apps never show you.
Straight into your nav app
ClearRide decides. Your nav app rides. One tap hands the chosen route to Apple Maps, Google Maps, Waze, Calimoto, Scenic or TomTom.

Straight answers
Where does the weather data come from?
Apple WeatherKit, sampled at 20–60 points along your actual route — each point read for the minute you are forecast to be there, not for right now. Routing comes from Mapbox.
Is it accurate?
It is as accurate as the forecast underneath it, which means good for the next few hours and progressively less certain further out. What ClearRide adds is placing that forecast on your road, at your time. It will not promise you a dry ride it cannot see coming.
Android?
iOS only right now. The app is built in React Native, so an Android build is possible — it is not shipped, and we would rather say so than take a pre-order.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up, no email, no password. Open it and check a route.
Does it track where I ride?
No. There is no continuous location tracking and no ride history stored on our servers. Saved routes keep the start and end points you typed in, and that is the whole of it.
Does it navigate?
Deliberately not. Turn-by-turn is a solved problem and your phone already does it well. ClearRide answers whether and when to go, then hands the route to Apple Maps, Google Maps, Waze, Calimoto, Scenic or TomTom.
What actually happens when the free checks run out?
Nothing breaks. You keep the app, the widget and the current conditions view; the two full route analyses reset at the start of each month. Pro removes the cap and adds the departure and rerouting tools.
Is it only useful in the UK?
It is built and tuned in the UK, for UK riding — cold, wind and rain rather than heat. Routing and weather coverage are global, so it works elsewhere; the thresholds are opinionated about British weather.
Last thing
Stop guessing at the door.
Check the ride before you put the gloves on. If it is a 40, you will know why — and what time it turns into an 80.
